Reading Program Study K-5

In 2010, the Language Arts Curriculum Council recommended the formation of an Ad-hoc committee of Language Arts teachers to investigate the implementation of a core reading program for grades K-5.  The committee of teachers is currently in the process of researching and evaluating several programs.  A recommendation for piloting programs will be made to the Language Arts Curriculum Council and Executive Director of Curriculum later this year.  Several teachers will pilot reading programs during the 2011-2012 school year.
