MPS - K-12 Technology Integration and Support

MHS classroom equipped with Smart technology.
The goal of Mason Public Schools' Technology Infusion Plan or MTIP is to provide our students and staff with the latest in classroom technology. With the support of the Mason Public Schools Foundation, MPS has been able to begin the process of creating "Smart Classrooms" (classrooms that have data projectors, document cameras, and interactive white boards) throughout the district K-12. In 2008, MPS added a digital recording studio which, along with the software and hardware necessary to create, edit, and publish digital media, allows our students to create professional looking digital recordings. In addition to the studio, data projectors, document cameras, classroom performance systems, and interactive white boards have been integrated throughout the district. It is the goal of the district to have every classroom equipped with these enormously powerful learning tools within the next several years.
Update: Thanks to donations by PTOs, the school district has purchased and installed additional data projectors and document cameras at the three elementary buildings. The MTIP project continues to provide equipment for classroom teachers annually. As of January 2011, every classroom in the district will have a data projector installed. Thank you to everyone in the community who has worked to make the "Smart Classroom" a reality for our students.
